The Very Reverend Father Robert Barron is the new Rector and President of Mundelein Seminary in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Father Barron is by now known to most as one on the forefront of the new evangelization. Below is his recent presentation on the new evangelization and the culture given recently in Toronto. Apologetics and the upcoming Year of Faith is a particular concern for priests, religious, seminarians and all of the baptized in today's world wherein there is much spiritual hunger. Father Barron has been referrred to as the new Fulton J. Sheen and for good reason!

Archbishop Elect CordileoneThe Holy Father, Benedict XVI has appointed this day in Rome the new Archbishop-Elect of San Francisco Archbishop Elect Salvatore J.  Cordileone, J.C.D. current Bishop of Oakland as the successor to Archbishop George Niederauer. According to the Catholic San Francisco newspaper (CSF), Archbishop George Niederauer announced that the the installation Mass for the new Archbishop will take place on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4, 2012) on the patronal feast day of the Archdiocese at the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 

The Community of St. Patrick's Seminary & University congratulates Archbishop-Elect Cordileone and pledges prayer and cooperation in the common work for the good of the people of God in the Church of San Francisco and the many dioceses and archdioceses the seminary serves.

St. Patricks Graduates 2012










On Friday, May 9, 2012 the graduating classes received their degrees in the context of solemn vespers in the Seminary chapel. President/Rector, Father James L. McKearney, S.S. presided over the ceremonies and challenged the graduates to put what they have learned to good use in serving the people of God.
