He stressed that living a holy life as the Lord desires, enables us to lead the people, who desire the Lord, to know the love of God for them. In thanking Bishop Garcia, Fr. McKearney noted that the Bishop served as a faculty member at. St. Patrick's Seminary for seven years. The Bishop also served as a faculty member of St. Joseph's College Seminary in Mountain View and as the Director of Vocations for the newly established Diocese of San Jose. He is presently the Bishop of the Diocese of Monterey. Flanking the Bishop (left) are two Monterey seminarians Jason Simas and Stephen Akers (right). Fr. Greetings and welcome to St. Patrick’s Seminary & University located in beautiful Menlo Park California. St. Patrick's is an institution dedicated to the initial and ongoing formation of priests for service in the Roman Catholic Church. St. Patrick's serves dioceses throughout the western United States and the Pacific Rim. The priests of the Society of St. Sulpice have dedicated themselves to this ministry of seminary formation here at St. Patrick's since 1898 when the first Sulpicians came to San Francisco.
