Over 50,000 people participated in the  Walk for Life in San Francisco, this past Saturday, and St Patrick's seminarians played in major role in walkling and hosting brother seminarians throughout the West Coast.  Three buses of seminarians, priests and supporters left St  Patrick's on Saturday morning for the march to SF City Hall. St Patrick's provided food and lodging for those from out of town and out of state. And many guests celebrated Sunday Mass with us.

The dinner served when the walkers returned to campus on Saturday night  was a special treat, as it was prepared by our always supportive Vietnamese community under the direction of Mrs. Trina Phan-Vu. Walkers were served homemade Pho, a nourishing noodle, meat and and vegetable broth that is a Vietnamese specialty.

Thanks to the generosity of the SF Archdiocese led by Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone,  the second collection at all Masses celebrated  on Sunday January 27th will be designated for St Patrick's. Seminarians from the SF Diocese will be speaking at parishes in SF, San Mateo and Marin Counties (pictured left to right: Alvin Yu, Rev. Mr. Tom Martin, Andrew Ginter, Michael Liliedahl, Justin Liu, Mark Doherty). We hope that you will support us on that day and always.

Here's why:
