27 September 2010
On Saturday, September 18, 2010, St. Patrick's Seminary & University celebrated their Third Annual Four Pillars Gala. The event started with Vespers presided by the Most Reverend George H. Niederauer, Archbishop of San Francisco, followed with tours and a social in the halls of St. Patrick's listening to music played by some of our seminarians. Dinner, a raffle drawing, and dancing took place outside under the stars while current class president, Steve Kim and newly elected class president, Mike Ritter emceed much to the delight of the audience. Our own Oblate Sisters of Jesus the Priest were honored for their dedication and continued support of our beloved seminary with a Waterford Crystal Cross. The most magical part of the evening happened towards the end when all seminarians were called by their dioceses to come forward onto the steps of the seminary. They capped the evening by singing Salve Regina to our Sisters.
Other honored guests included Most Reverend William Justice, Most Reverend Stephen Blaire, and Most Reverend Tod Brown. Also in attendance were special guests, Philippine Consul General in San Francsico, Marciano Paynor and Mrs. Teresita Paynor, along with Lynne Sesante of the SF Consulate office.
A big Congratulations! to our $10,000 raffle winner - Fil-Am Friendship Network!
Many thanks to our wonderful sponsors who helped underwrite many of the costs of the event and to our many friends and supporters of the seminary who attended the event. It truly was an exquisite evening!
