"and there is a lot of love here!" the Bishop said. He continued stating that love, which brought about the ordination, is the fruit of the love of Anthony's parents, of the seminary faculty members who helped form him into a priest today, and of all of the faithful of God. Bishop Silva emphasized that in the ancient gesture of the laying on of hands Anthony would not be only ordained a priest forever but also be in the world as a man of God sealed by that love and grace that has filled and surrounded his entire life. On Saturday, December 31st, the vigil of the solemnity of Mary the Mother of God, Father Anthony will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at his home parish of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue, Kauai. Beginning in January, Father Anthony will assume his priestly responsibilities at St. Michael the Archangel parish in Kailua-Kona, just a short island hop away from his family on Kauai. Once again, congratulations Father Anthony from the entire St. Patrick's Seminary & University community.
