In his comments of gratitude, Deacon Fredy mentioned that he was "ordained today to serve you the people of God" and for that he was indeed grateful to all who have helped him on his way to this moment of grace. Fr. Rodolfo noted that his greatest joy as a deacon and now as a priest has been and will be to help God's people draw closer to God in their relationship - to help them grow in the dignity that was given to them at baptism. The ordination which took place at the church of St. Benedict in Hollister was full of joyful family members of both men traveling from various places in Mexico. The Church, which boasts the largest seating capacity in the diocese, was packed with their other supporters in the diocese, with members of the St. Patrick's Seminary community and beyond. May God continue to bless them in their ministry to the Church.
